Battlefront 2 Map Rotation August 2018
So far we seem to have a healthy supply of maps from many sections of the Star Wars timeline, and it’s entirely possible that we’ll see more coming in the future as free DLC. One of EA’s biggest announcements in the Battlefront 2 presentation was that there would be waves of free content launching after the title’s release, which also includes new playable characters, Finn and Captain Phasma.
In terms of hero presence, there is an impressive array of characters set to come to Battlefront 2‘s multiplayer, including newcomers like Darth Maul, Yoda, and Rey. Players will also be able to fight as new units such as the droid army from the prequel films, which is sure to keep this next installment in the franchise feeling fresh and content-heavy.
What’s more, the highly-anticipated story mode is looking more exciting than ever, as we get ready to follow Commander Iden Versio’s story, taking place immediately after the events of Return of the Jedi. It seems that DICE and EA are pulling out all the stops in order to ensure that Battlefront 2 is superior to its successor – an effort that even the more casual of Star Wars fans are sure to appreciate.

9. Revamp Map Rotation
The key to keeping players in the match is an enjoyable feedback loop of map rotation, as if this feels repetitive or predictable, it can break the enjoyment for most. Battlefront 2 has a very rigid map rotation, in the sense that each faction will have to play a map from both sides and then move on.
It is clear why DICE went for this - they want both teams to get the chance to see both sides of a match and even get them to experience all the cast of the heroes and villains. However it does start to drag over time, and something like a voting system would be the best way forward to keep gameplay and matches feeling less repetitive.
If gameplay didn't boil down to playing the same maps again and again, actually playing Battlefront 2 wouldn't feel like so much of a slog at times.
